Hardie van Schalkwyk ARCHITECTURE was founded in April 2002, after practicing at prominent architectural firms for numerous years. The practice's goal is to create atypical designs that are environmentally conscious and reflect and improve the surrounding area from conception to completion.
The philosophy of design is to create practical, sensible spaces that complement and harmonise with the needs of the client's lifestyle. I work directly with the client, offering individualised service from conceptual design to building completion, ensuring that the client's physical and financial needs are met.
Furthermore, we attempt to include ecologically sustainable approaches into all of our initiatives since we believe doing otherwise would be both environmentally and financially irresponsible.
